Environmental Sensors

There are few things worse than a broken water line, ruining walls and flooring, furniture and other. Pipes seem to break at the worst possible time, when no one is home, usually during the winter when freezing temps strain plumbing systems. According to the Insurance Information Institute, nearly 25% of all homeowners insurance claims are from water damage and freezing, and winter storms are, in fact, the third-largest cause of catastrophic loss in the U.S., behind only hurricanes and tornadoes. The good news is much of this damage can be prevented. We design and install water sensors. In fact, we recommend them for all kitchens, bathrooms and basements. If there’s a leak, you’ll get notified right on your smart phone. Additional systems can actually shut-off the water main to stop the problem immediately until a repair can be performed. Other important sensors detect Carbon Monoxide, smoke, fire, temperature drops and surges as well as humidity issues – all critical to ensure the safety of your home, possessions and family.
